We are focused on doing one thing right, every time—producing the best personal lubricant on the market. The quest began back in 2002. Our goal was to create a lightweight lubricant with long-lasting performance—one that doesn’t leave a sticky residue after the job is done.
In 2010, after hundreds of formula iterations and extensive market testing, we launched our product. Simple ingredients and the überlube clear glass bottle have been our trademark ever since.

Company History
2002
Überlube began as an idea in 2002. The goal was to create the first premium, lightweight lubricant with long-lasting performance—one that doesn’t leave a sticky residue after the job is done.
2010
After several years of market testing, überlube launches in the US with its own manufacturing facility in Chicago. Establishing itself as a leader in the premium lubricant market, überlube quickly became a favorite with consumers and the press.
2013
Überlube expands into Canadian and Australian markets.
2015
Überlube achieves its medical device registration in the US and European markets. [FDA 510(k) / MDD]
As a newly registered device, überlube launches in the European market.
2017
Based on customer requests, überlube develops a discreet travel option. The Good-to-Go traveler launches with its protective case.
2022
Überlube wins "Best Lubricant Brand of the Year" at industry tradeshow in Hanover, Germany
2023
Today, we continue to batch, test, and bottle überlube in our Chicago-area facility. Überlube remains a family owned business experiencing world-wide growth without compromising our original values. Our goal is still to enhance joy and pleasure in our customer's lives.

Over the years, I have personally refined überlube through hundreds of iterations of formula, to bring you a product that doesn’t just reduce friction, but lets skin feel and interact with skin in a way that’s natural and intimate.
When we say “feeling is everything,” we’re also saying that the lubricant should be a tool that does its job without stealing the show. That’s why we have always relied on simple, inert, body-friendly ingredients.

Osmolality and pH are generally more of a topic related with water-based lubricants. Überlube is anhydrous, meaning without water, so it doesn't have pH or osmolality. Überlube doesn't interfere with vaginal pH.
Is überlube safe with silicone toys?
Is überlube safe with silicone toys?
We do not recommend the use of any silicone lubricant with silicone toys (unless the toy manufacturer says it's compatible and provides a guarantee). Although you may hear that it works from others, it depends on the silicone makeup of the toy and almost always demands latex condom use and immediate washing. So we at überlube say no. It may be safely used with non-silicone plastic, glass, ceramic or stainless steel toys but our advice is no silicone toys please. To know for sure please spot test.
